Launch & Opening Ceremony

“A New Journey Begins: Planting Seeds of Change”

The Launch and Opening Ceremony for the Creative Pathways to Youth Crime Prevention Programme Summer Version was held on Saturday 19th July 2025 at the Calliaqua Town Hall. 

Programme Materials

Each participant received a document folder complements Coreas Pharmacy located in Coreas City Store, managed by Mrs Jean Johnney-Findlay. The folders contained note pads complements Mrs Brenda Hazell at the Government Printery, as well as pens, pencils and the activities schedule for the duration of the programme..

Daily Sessions

"Grounded & Guarded: Thriving with Peace in a Connected World"

Participants were engaged in Spiritual Empowerment via Devotions, Social-Emotional Learning and Psycho-Education Skills (Life Skills), Personal Safety and Risk Awareness, Digital Literacy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mentorship, and Counselling with facilitators who are trained experts in their various fields. 

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. (Proverbs 4:23 NLT)

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NLT)

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:2 NLT)

  • Please note that we do not own the rights for the music "This Island is Mine".
  • Participants composed the song "Stay Focus" with the assistance of their facilitator, Mrs. Marla Nanton-James.
  • The participants created their free style dance moves based on the story they wanted to tell as guided by their dance instructor Claydonna Peters.
  • The art session was facilitated by our very own Grace Brown and Gabriella James..

Youth Voices March, Rally & Exhibition 

“Voices That Rise Together: United in Respect, Empowered for Action”

Chanting "From Risk to Radiant We Rise Together No More Crime", participants confidently marched through the streets of Fair Hall and Glen as youth advocates against the rise in youth crime in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on a whole.

Meals were prepared by our very own Chef Seamon Haynes every day for every one free of charge. 

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT)

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever" (2 Corinthians 9:8-9 NLT).

The Creative Pathways to Youth Crime Prevention Programme Summer Version climaxed with a Closing Ceremony and Graduation. All participants, facilitators and contributors were given certificates of participation and appreciation.
