Living a Life of Worship unto God in the Holiest
TEXT: Hebrews 10:19-25
As I studied this passage of scripture I was enlightened and encouraged by the truths that came alive to me, thus, I am delighted to share them with you. May you too be enlightened and encouraged, enough to let the Word be manifest in your life.
Firstly, I was reminded of the fact that, since we have access to the Holy of Holies by the power and virtue in the blood of Jesus; we can enter in at any time with full freedom and confidence, knowing that Jesus has initiated, dedicated and opened a fresh (new) and living way for us through the separating curtain, which is the veil of the Holy of Holies, through His flesh by dying on the cross.
Furthermore, I was also reminded that, as Jesus is our great, wonderful and noble Priest (our High Priest): The One who is the Supreme Head. The One who is Holy. The One who is our Mediator between God and us. The One who we can go to, to learn the will of God. The One who is anointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. The One who is Merciful and Faithful. The One who is the Eternal Priesthood; we need to and are encouraged to always go forward and enter into the Holiest so that we could draw close or even closer to God and live a life of holiness unto Him. Being of a broken spirit and a contrite heart for such He will not despise, as He desires truth in the inward part. Allowing Him to make us pure in heart, to make our hearts faithful and true through His power, wisdom and goodness so that when He looks at us He will see His righteousness. Moreover, being strong in our expectation of Him having the confidence that He is reliable (sure) and faithful to His Word. Hence, He will perform His promise to perfect that, which concerns us because we are His children and He will not forsake the works of His hands for He knows the plans and purposes He has for our lives.
Consequently, we need not think of ourselves only, for it is not about us at all. It is all about God. It is for His glory and His fame. Thus, the reason we also need to care for other Believers, watching over them. Every day we must look for opportunities to encourage them and to stir up (stimulate and incite) them to love and helpful deeds. Doing good to all especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Finally, I realised that for us to accomplish the aforementioned. We need to fellowship with other Believers. We need not forsake or neglect or even take for granted the simple act of going to Church as some people do but even as the coming of Christ Jesus is soon, we need to become even more faithful in admonishing (warning, urging and encouraging) others to live for Jesus. Since living for Jesus is all that matters. Amen!
